Do you want to make a good first impression when you are at a Career Fair or on the job? Do you occasionally
become “tongue-tied” when responding to “So, tell me about yourself!” If you answered “yes” to either of these
questions, then this session is for you! Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the 60-second sell, will
create and practice one of their own, and will receive feedback from Archer Center and corporate representatives.

financial aid and fellowships to pay for Grad School? Then join us for this exciting event to learn how to identify oncampus
research opportunities, how to prepare and approach faculty to participate in research, how to get credit or
pay for undergraduate research, and much more! A panel of undergraduate researchers will answer your questions
and provide tips.

Leaders of Tomorrow Professional Development Workshop – Why Not Change Our Words? A Collaborative Workshop to Understand and Address Micro-aggression and Unconscious Bias. Led by practicing professionals from a local company and student organizers of the Leaders of Tomorrow Workshop Series planning group.

Join practicing professionals and a group of your RPI peers for an engaging workshop on micro-aggression and
unconscious bias. Topics covered include:
• what micro-aggressions are & where they come from
• how you can identify your own unconscious biases (we all have them!)
• how to dismantle social injustices by integrating different perspectives
• how to create a sense of belonging and connectedness instead of perpetuating fear and discrimination.
Employers are seeking graduates with technical skills who are empathic and resilient, two competencies that build
productive, innovative teams that protect and preserve the dignity of all team members.
Want to serve as a peer mentor for an incoming first year female enrolling in fall 2019? To serve as a peer mentor in the Women at Rensselaer Mentor Program, female undergraduates must have earned an overall 2.7 GPA at the end of fall 2018 and must attend one of the training sessions listed below that will take place from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Students who served as WMP peer mentors in 2018-2019 do not have to attend this training. A formal email invite will be sent to eligible students.

not feel comfortable heading into your first internship/job experience? Come participate in this interactive event to
help you feel more confident and be ready for the next chapter of your life. Mr. Michael Weiner will share what your
mentors and coworkers will expect from you as well as tips on transitioning from college to your future company.
