Do you have a polished resume for the upcoming NSBE/SHPE Career Fair on Sept. 21 and 22?  If you want your resume critiqued or you’re a freshmen or sophomore who wants to learn more about developing a great resume, attend Resumania tomorrow night! No registration is required! Please make plans to eat dinner before or after this event.

The Leaders for Tomorrow Professional Development Workshop Series committee has worked with the Center for Career and Professional Development Office and local practicing professionals to develop some interactive teaching workshops and instructional laboratories for Rensselaer students to help you prepare for career fairs on and off campus!

Resumania:  This event offers two separate segments that both take place in the Darrin Communications Center (DCC).  Come see our table positioned across from DCC 308.

Segment #1:  Resume Development Lab– In this 30-minute instructional lab, you’ll receive guidance from career professionals to develop a professional resume.  You’ll learn the purpose of the resume, what to include/exclude, importance of appropriate keywords/buzzwords, formatting, and grammar/spelling.  Resources for finding examples of college resumes and appropriate industry buzzwords will be included.

Please choose one of three instructional lab times below.  All labs will take place in DCC 330.

7:00 to 7:30 p.m.

7:45 to 8:15 p.m.

8:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Segment #2:  Resume Critiques– speed networking to receive short resume critiques from practicing professionals for students who already have a resume.

7 to 9 p.m., first-come, first-served, DCC Great Hall (hallway outside of the third floor DCC lecture rooms)
