RPI has so many great students and alumni! In 2017, Carolina Motter Catarino, one of RPI’s chemical and biological engineering graduate students, won the Lush Prize for her work with bioprinting technology to make alternatives to animal testing. Her work is used for testing makeup and fabrics to make them safer for everyone while also being a more ethical alternative to tradition testing methods.
